Introduction

This Negeri Sembilan artist has been actively involved in the local arts scene ever since his graduation with fine arts honours degree from UiTM in 2010. With local art awards such as two-years consecutive Grand Prize winner for Nando’s Art Competition 2009 and 2010 tagged to this talented painter, he is a pedigree to be reckoned with for his pedantic drawing lines and solid pop colours of illustrative visuals.

His first solo, Mission was held in 2014 at Galeri Chandan. Show Aloong—his second solo exhibition that brings a body of works of his recurring styles for the pastten years since the start of his fine art career which includes the notable stamp series, warplanes, multicultural and national heritage themes both local and abroad, interspersing with his well known mechanical-like doodles. This body of works with its famous iconography was manifested during the period of pandemic as the imageries may seem relatable and commonly known to many. However, the imageries are symbolic of the different series of events be it sociopolitical happening or even his personal encounters that he holds dear to his heart especially during this pandemic times.
