For the first time, Islamic Calligraphy in Malaysia is given a more contemporary flavor and this seminal set of 30 pieces took him more 3 years to produce on this work of art from 2009-2011, a feat that not many Malaysian artist will undertake to make 30 Jawi Alphabets.  It is interesting to note that Husin’s paintings actually appeal the various facets of society of various religious background through his very simple visual projection yet aesthetically attractive calligraphy works.  Malaysia have our very own unique identity in terms of contemporary art and also influence Islamic religion from various culture. it is interesting to see how Husin’s actually combines both elements together.
